I think The Scribe is important because it allows students to share their creativity with others. Students can learn from each other and find inspiration from each other. Students can also keep up-to-date with what's going on with the school.

"Writing and art define a community. Throughout history, it has given us a glimpse of what it means to be human, and shows us how no one definition can encapsulate the term. I think The Scribe serves as a reflection of the collective student body; besides all the grades and expectations that come with being a student, it unveils the simple joy of creation. I know many students at NHS who are incredibly talented, and I hope our school publication serves as a platform for all creators, regardless of their medium, to join together as a community and showcase our talent."

The more that people contribute to The Scribe, the more that teachers and administrators can be aware of the personalities, interests, and ideas of Newington High School's students and the more that learning styles and the classroom environment will benefit."
