"I think The Scribe is important because it is a place where students can catch up on what's happening at the school, as well as give recognition to people who want to share their work. I joined The Scribe mainly because I wanted to become better at writing. Now, after a year, I have realized that I really love reading other people's work even more than I like writing, and I think it's important for everyone to be able to see all the amazing writing here at NHS. "

"I think The Scribe is important since it allows for students and teachers alike to get a sense of what other students tend to enjoy, as well as how they feel. At the same time, these students get an opportunity to display their hobbies, talents, and opinions. Students who may not feel that they have much of a place to express their interests could do so through The Scribe."

"I think The Scribe is important because it is a fun change of pace! Day-to-day life can get pretty stressful, so it's nice to have an all-accepting group to share my creativity with! It's also great practice for me to pursue my dreams of becoming an author in the future."

We have the opportunity to bring the student body together as a whole and produce an image of the best aspects of Newington High School. By listening to and seeking out the opinions of students, The Scribe is able to express the thoughts and emotions of Newington High."

I hope The Scribe can provide that space for them, to be creative, express themselves, and share what's important to them. We want more students to feel included and feel like they have a voice, so spread the word and join us!"
