Course Audit Guidelines

  1. A student must discuss the course audit with the teacher whose class is to be audited and agree to the expectations set by the teacher for auditing the class.
  2. The class to be audited must be in addition to the student's required 6 (5 for seniors) course minimum course load.
  3. A student who wishes to audit a course that he/she is already enrolled in for credit must start the process of arranging for an audit by the FOURTH WEEK of class.
  4. Students enrolled in a course for audit must fulfill obligations, that is, coursework and attendance.
  5. At the completion of the course, the class audited will be recorded on the student’s record as an audit—there will be no grade or credit received. It will appear on the transcript with an AU.
  6. Students wishing to drop a course being audited will follow the same procedure for dropping a regular course for credit.
  7. Audit may also occur for some students with special circumstances.
