SYMPHONIC BAND

This ensemble performs major works of wind band literature. There is a strong emphasis on instrumental technique and ensemble playing. Some solo and small group opportunities are available as well as the chance to audition for Regional and All-State ensembles. This group presents several required concerts and public performances per year. Students are encouraged to participate in the Marching Band for an additional .25 credit. (Please see the Marching Band description). Students wishing to audition for Jazz Band and Pit Orchestra must participate in either Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Orchestra or have permission of the director.
