MARCHING BAND AND COLOR GUARD

This ensemble performs at home football games and school events, presenting a high-energy halftime field show and pep-band music in the stands. No prior marching or color guard experience is needed. Students develop musicianship, marching/guard technique, teamwork, and leadership skills. Upperclassmen have opportunities to serve in leadership positions.

The season begins with Band Camp in late summer, followed by weekly evening rehearsals through October. Attendance at camp, rehearsals, games, and performances is required. Color Guard is a section of the ensemble that incorporates flags, rifles, and dance.

This activity earns .25 music credit but does not replace or count toward a student’s required scheduled course credits.
