This course has been designed to prepare students to help with the transition from a more structured lifestyle of high school to one of much greater independence and personal responsibility with respect to overall lifestyle choices. No matter the path a student chooses, this course serves as a guide to help students gain knowledge and skills to become highly prepared for life after graduation and a contributing member of their community. In the classroom, students will apply state standards in health education to explore the concepts of stress/anger management, healthy relationships, nutrition, sexual health, substance use disorders, mental/emotional health management, grief management, understanding differences, and well thought out decision-making practices.
