This course has been designed to prepare students to help with the transition from a more structured lifestyle of high school to one of much greater independence and personal responsibility with respect to overall lifestyle choices. No matter the path a student chooses (college, career, or citizenship ready), this course serves as a guide to help students gain knowledge and skills as they prepare for their future endeavors. In the classroom, students will apply state standards in health education to explore the concepts of healthy relationships, nutrition, human growth & development, substance abuse prevention, mental/emotional health management, grief management, understanding differences, and well thought out decision-making practices.
