CREATIVE WRITING

This course is designed for students with an interest in writing. The course provides students with the opportunity to develop writing skills and to refine individual style. Students are exposed to a variety of literary forms as models for their own work. Instruction is provided in the discipline of writing, while students are allowed the freedom to explore and experiment with their original compositions. Writing exercises range from the simple to the complex, with emphasis upon writing as a process. Both teacher and students respond to and evaluate the works generated by the class.
