Are you curious how companies determine what to sell and how much to charge you? How are businesses and consumers impacted by the world around them? This course provides students with an introduction to the key concepts of economics as it pertains to business. Topics include: entrepreneurs, supply and demand, scarcity, marketing, and business structures. Students will analyze how business is impacted based on the type of economy and market structure. Students will have the opportunity to explore impacts of international business, including currency translation and protectionism as well as evaluate the effect of government agencies. This will fulfill the prerequisite for Entrepreneurship and Business in a Global Economy.
