Human and Family Development explores how individuals grow and how families shape that growth. Students will examine family structures, values, and the impact of healthy and unhealthy relationships. Topics include communication, parenting, family roles, grief and loss, and the cultural traditions that influence family life. A highlight of the course is the RealCare® Baby simulation experience, where students gain first-hand insight into the challenges and responsibilities of parenting an infant. This class helps students better understand themselves, build stronger relationships, and prepare for the roles they may take on in their own families and communities.
