Principles of Engineering
Students will have varied opportunities to collaborate effectively with peers to solve problems using an engineering design process, such as:
Design, build, and test an autonomous system or a parachute or a glider
Design an airfoil or simulated turbine engine
Design and build a mockup of a system to mitigate space junk
Choose aircraft material and design and simulate loading on an aircraft structure
Create a program to control a physical model of an automatic pilot controlled aircraft
Create and test a software program to control a system
Design a satellite orbit and simulate satellite data acquisition using a physical model or create a terrain map using model satellite data
Investigate aerospace engineering careers
