Sculpture/3D Design is a course where students will explore the media, tools, techniques and artists of three-dimensional design and sculptural expression. Students will use sculpture materials such as cardboard, foam core board , wire, wood, fabric; paper mache, soapstone, and clay, to design and create personal sculptural pieces. The skills and concepts necessary for the creation of sculptural forms will be studied through student experimentation and research into design problems and the development of original ideas. Construction processes include additive and subtractive methods. Work from this course could serve as the beginning of a student's portfolio preparation.
