Jewelry II is an advanced course in Jewelry as a follow up to Jewelry I. This course is an advanced exploration of three dimensional design concepts through the creation of both wearable art as well as gallery art. In this art course, students will develop new hands-on skills as well as gain opportunities for authentic self-expression and deeper meaning behind their work. Students will continue to interpret concepts three dimensionally as a visual language through key design principles such as movement, emphasis and unity. Techniques such as advanced metal forming, soldering, stone setting, enameling and casting will be introduced. Work from this course could serve as an integral part of a student's portfolio preparation.
