Q: What is Day Habilitation and the Life Enrichment Center?
A: The Day Habilitation program includes but is not limited to:
Skill Development: Improving socialization, communication, and daily living skills.
Independence: Enhancing physical and emotional health, cognitive functioning, and self-direction.
Community Engagement: Providing opportunities for recreation, volunteerism, and social relationships in integrated settings.
The Life Enrichment Center is just that. The vision is to enrich peoples lives.
Q: What is the age requirement for admission?
A: To be eligible for admission into the Life Enrichment Center, members must be at least 16 years old.
Q: What are the service hours?
A: The L.E.C. is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. We offer flexible scheduling; members can attend for full or half days, ranging from one to five days per week.
Q: How is the program funded?
A: Services are primarily funded through the Iowa Home and Community Based Services program, and HHS Fee for Services, which are funded through Medicaid. Q: How do I refer someone to the program?
A: To begin the referral process, please contact the individual’s Case Manager through their designated Managed Care Organization (Wellpoint, Iowa Total Care, or Molina). Or, contact us for guidance.
