This is a fun, simple craft to do with your kids!
Material:
paper
cheerios
scissors
glue
Directions: Help your child draw a star on paper. They can cut it or with assistance from an adult. Then just glue cheerios on! This is a great way to manipulate and use a pincer grasp to pick them off the table.

You will need:
1 cup of flour
1/2 cup of salt
2 tsp of cream of tartar
1 packet of unsweetened kool-aid
1 cup of water
1Tbsp of oil
Mix the first four ingredients together in a sauce pan and add the water and oil. Cook over medium heat stirring frequently for about five minutes or until a ball of dough forms. Remove from heat and take the playdough out of the pan and place on a sheet of wax paper. Let cool.

This is a great multi-sensory pre-writing or writing activity for your students to try over the summer!
All you need is a paint brush, a bowl of water, and some concrete!
For the pre-writing students, have them scribble and color all over to promote functional grasp on the utensil. Also, having them work on creating their shapes with the water on the sidewalk! Or have them trace a chalk shape/pre-writing line!
For the older students, have them practice their letters, name, or words with the brush and water!
