Holding a pencil with a 3 point grip can be challenging for some students that are still gaining strength and coordination. Here are some different grasp patterns with the corresponding age you may see your child use. Don't stress if your child is not using a 3 point grip. Keep working on fine motor tasks to strength those fingers and use small writing utensils ( broken crayons, golf pencils, Pip Squeak makers, etc)
