Cadet Commander - Leads, supervises, motivates, and trains the Corps Staff, and accomplishes the corps mission for the school year. Responsible for Cadet Corps discipline, appearance and military bearing. Delegates duties and tasks within the Corps Staff to ensure goals are met. Leads the Cadet Corps in parades, ceremonies, and other public events. Conducts regular Corps Staff meetings to plan and organize corps activities and training. Schedules regular meetings with the SASI and ASI to coordinate plans and receive final approval for all corps activities. Promotes academic excellence and regular school attendance within the Corps.
Cadet Deputy Commander - Backs up the cadet commander, and fills in for the cadet commander if they are unavailable. Accomplishes specific duties as directed by the cadet commander.
Cadet Inspector General - The Inspector General (IG) is responsible for ensuring that the unit meets the standards set forth by the Air Force. The the unit is required to do a self-inspection every year. The IG inspects all required areas. During HQ inspection years the IG is in charge of the inspection prep and ensuring we are in compliance with all AFJROTC instructions and requirements. Additionally the IG is responsible for ensuring that cadet review boards are accomplished.
Cadet Chief - The job of the Cadet Chief is to represent and oversee the discipline of all the enlisted ranks and oversee the Squadron Commanders. They are responsible for unit morale as well as the disciple and overall appearance of the unit.
Special Projects - To ensure every event has a folder. Ensures teacher/parent/medical permission slips are in folder as needed. Contact the P.O.C for each event to ensure all requirements are met. Make signup sheets and post on the community board 2 months prior. Hand out point papers and applicable permission slips 2 weeks prior to events. Ensure with event OIC that all completed permission forms are in folder 3 days before an event with an alpha roster for OIC, chaperones and bus driver.
Public Affairs - To ensure each event with a star has photographer and inform special projects who the photographer will be. Send 2 week prior emails for big events to Chief. Advertise JROTC within community (Newspapers, NPTV etc). Newsletter for each semester. Make end of the year video.
Admissions - Admissions will make posters, showcases, and other forms of display for advertising. Recruiting displays are a huge part in this job.
APT - The Awareness Presentation Team (APT) is an academic endeavor designed to provide positive role models for middle school students. It also provides a practical application of the skills learned in the leadership education portion of the AFJROTC curriculum.
**Community Squadron Commander is in charge of all of these sections so they are all running smoothly.
Logistics - Logistics will maintain the logistics of the unit including that of logistics room (where uniforms and uniform items are issued). They must issue uniforms while keeping inventory of uniforms, ribbons, and insignia that have been borrowed, taken, or brought back. Logistics OICs must update Wings according to what is available in logistics.
Data - Data helps with creating special orders for promotions and other data that might be provided from Commander's Calls. They maintain unit rosters as well as ensure that uniform and event data is inputted/documented in WINGS.
Finance - Finance is in charge of many things. For one, they are in charge of maintaining fundraising by requesting district approval using sale forms, creating order forms if needed, managing money, and keeping track using tallies in finance drive advertise. They are in charge of the classroom thermometer. Every Monday a finance specialist will go to the log entries and extract any sales. They document numbers on the Thermometer spreadsheet located on finance drive. From there, they update class period thermometer according. A flight moves up for every ticket a cadet sells. In addition to all of this, they will manage field trips/events, any items requested, cadet accounts, and Squires communication.
Academics - Academics helps students with academic challenges and creates study sessions according to this. They must organize the Academic Teams for competitions. In addition to this, the they will periodically maintain communication with those who do not grades that are up to par.
Communications - Communications maintains the contact information of all of the cadets. They must maintain the TeamApp as well as the notifications presented through it.
**Mission Support Squadron Commander is in charge of all of these sections so they are running smoothly.
Color Guard - Color Guard is always managing the training as well as the scheduling of Color Guard events in the unit. They must manage all of the Color Guard gear and rifles that may be used in the Supply room (logistics).
Drill - Drill will train & Schedule tryouts for OICs, and teams. They coordinate to develop a practice schedule. Post-Competition, Drill will maintain a list of which cadets have participated in CG competitions for award of ribbon, and if any teams earned the Special Teams ribbon. They are directly in charge of all the drill training of the cadets.
AEX - AEX will train & Schedule tryouts for OICs, and teams. They coordinate to develop a practice schedule. Post-Competition, the AEX will maintain a list of which cadets have participated in CG competitions for award of ribbon, and if any teams earned the Special Teams ribbon. They are directly in charge of all the drill training of the cadets in AEX. They must schedule events in which AEX can perform in.
UEX - UEX will train & Schedule tryouts for OICs, and teams. They coordinate to develop a practice schedule. Post-Competition, the UEX will maintain a list of which cadets have participated in CG competitions for award of ribbon, and if any teams earned the Special Teams ribbon. They are directly in charge of all the drill training of the cadets in UEX. They must schedule events in which UEX can perform in.
Armory - Armory in charge of maintaining rifles as well as their inventory and accountability. If a rifle should be damaged, they must first attempt to fix the rifle and then go from there to price and buy a new rifle. Armory must maintain all rifle contracts that are signed by cadets.
PT - PT schedules tryouts for PT competitions and ensures that they maintain a list of which cadets have participated in competitions as PT/Raider team members for award of ribbon, and if any teams earned Special Teams ribbon. They may schedule weekly PT sessions.
**Operations Squadron Commander is in charge of all of these sections so they run smoothly.
