Air Force Magazine is the official publication of the Air Force Association (AFA), a professional military and aerospace education association that promotes American aerospace power particularly the United States Air Force.   The AFA was founded in 1946 by General Hap Arnold.   Notable founding members were Jimmy Stewart (actor, WW2 bomber pilot, and future general), and Jimmy Doolittle (aviation pioneer, leader of the first air raid on Japan during WW2, bomber and figher combat leader throughout WW2).
