What is NotebookLM

Google’s AI research and learning tool that helps the student understand source materials that you provide. Sources include google docs, youtube videos, websites, videos, PDFs, and more. NotebookLM can summarize content, create quizzes, make videos, show infographics, create podcasts or make flash cards based on the sources you give to the students. It can also help you create cohesive lesson plans for your day.

Teacher Tips for Getting Started:

Create a new, separate notebook for each class/lesson/subject to keep resources and topics organized.

Only upload trusted and previously reviewed sources so your students are learning the information you want them to learn.

Encourage your students to verify the AI given information against the source materials

Utilize the studio edit arrow to further narrow down the materials NotebookLM is creating to be more specific to your teaching style.
