Follow the steps below to successfully submit your entry for the FND In Focus Video Competition.

Please review all instructions carefully before submitting. 

A submission is only considered complete once all required forms and materials have been received and verified.

Step 1: Create Your Video

Begin by brainstorming ideas related to this year’s theme:

Flip the Script on FND

Create your video according to the official Video Guidelines, and review your work carefully before submitting.

Before moving forward, confirm that your video meets all requirements using the Video Requirements Checklist.

Saving Your Video File

Your video must follow the required file naming format:

Individual Submissions:

LastName_FirstName_FNDInFocus2026

Example: Smith_Jordan_FNDInFocus2026

Team Submissions: 

TeamName_FNDInFocus2026

Example: TeamAwareness_FNDInFocus2026

This file name must match across:

• The uploaded video

• The submission form

• All related emails

• Model release form(s) (if applicable)

• Parent/guardian consent forms (if applicable)

Using the same file name ensures we can correctly match all materials to your submission.

Step 2: Prepare for Submission

Upload Your Video

Upload your video to a platform that allows both viewing and downloading without requiring login access.

Acceptable platforms include:

• Google Drive

• Dropbox

• OneDrive

• Vimeo

• YouTube

• Other similar platforms

Your video must be downloadable and must not require login or sign-up to view or download.

Send Required Forms

Email all required forms to:

Forms may include:

• Model Release Form(s) (for each person appearing in the video)

• Parent/Guardian Consent Form(s) (if participants are under 18)

⚠️ Important: 

Videos missing required forms will not be approved for judging.

Step 3: Submit Your Entry

Once your video is uploaded and your forms are prepared:

1️⃣ Complete the Official Submission Entry Form.

2️⃣ Provide the link to your uploaded video.

3️⃣ Double-check that all information is accurate before submitting.

After submitting the form, you should receive an automatic email confirmation.

If you do not receive confirmation:

• Check your spam/junk folder

• Ensure the email address entered on the form was correct

Step 4: Review & Approval Process

After your submission is received, our team will review your video to confirm that it meets all competition requirements.

This review includes verifying:

• Video guidelines

• File naming requirements

• Required forms

• Download accessibility

Once your submission has been approved, you will receive a second confirmation email directly from our team.

Approved videos will then move into the judging phase.

Digital Participation Badge

Once your video is approved, you will receive your official digital participation badge, recognizing your video as an eligible entry in the FND In Focus competition.

Important Submission Requirements

A video submission is not considered complete until all required materials have been received.

Your submission must include:

✔ The video submission form

✔ A working video link

✔ All required model release forms (if applicable)

✔ Parent/guardian consent forms (if applicable)

The number of model release forms must match the number of individuals appearing in the video as listed on your submission form.

File Name Requirement for Forms

All submitted forms must clearly include the same submission file name used for your video.

Include the file name in either:

• The email subject line, or

• The body of the email

Example:

Subject: Smith_Jordan_FNDInFocus2026 – Model Release Forms

Submissions that do not include the required file name may not be accepted until corrected.
