Welcome to the official competition hub for the FND In Focus Annual Video Competition — where creativity meets advocacy. Here, you’ll find everything you need to know to enter, judge, or vote in this year’s event.
The FND In Focus Annual Video Competition is a national creative challenge that uses the power of storytelling to raise awareness for Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) — a common but often misunderstood condition affecting the functioning of the nervous system and how the brain and body communicate.
Each year, participants from around the USA will submit short videos that aim to educate, inspire, and challenge public perceptions about FND. Videos can be emotional, educational, artistic, or even humorous, as long as they connect with the year’s theme and contribute to changing the conversation.
This contest is open to creators of all kinds:

You don’t need fancy equipment, a big budget, or years of experience — just your creativity, your passion, and your willingness to share. Whether your video is heartfelt, informative, funny, or inspiring, it’s your authentic voice that will make the biggest difference. Every entry matters, every story counts — and together, we can change the way the world sees FND.
This year’s theme, “Flip the Script on FND,” invites you to shift the narrative — moving away from stereotypes, misconceptions, and stigma toward a deeper understanding of what life with FND is really like and/or what FND really is. Whether you share your personal journey, bust a myth, or create a compelling public service announcement, your voice matters.
How can you change the usual narrative or perspective? What new angles or truths can you reveal? Whether it’s through personal stories, creative visuals, myth-busting facts, or empowering messages — show us how to see FND differently.
Use this theme to inspire your creativity and challenge assumptions.
Open to individuals in the USA (50 states).
Individuals or teams may submit.
All experience levels welcome — from first-time creators to professional filmmakers.
Under 18? No problem! You’ll just need a signed Parent/Guardian Consent Form.
