Katherine Kauffman is a high school Library Media Specialist in Western Pennsylvania. In 2005, she received a BA in English and a BS in Secondary Education from Penn State University, and she continued on to receive her Master of Science in Library Science degree from Clarion University. She served as an officer for the Westmoreland County Association of School Librarians for several years, and she is a proud member of the Pennsylvania School Librarians Association and the Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communications and Technology. Ms. Kauffman is passionate about using technology to make the world more accessible for students, and she has gained many of these skills through her participation in the Google for Education Certified Innovator and Nearpod PioNear programs as well as the German-American Fulbright Commission Seminar in Mainz, Germany. Throughout the past several years, Katherine has been fortunate to be able to present at local, state, and national conferences. When she is taking a break from talking about YA books, Ms. Kauffman loves hiking with her dog Max!
