Below are some links to the ELA standards. The first is a comprehensive document, showing the Reading Literature, Reading Informational, Writing, Language, Listening & Speaking, and Foundational Skills standards for all grade levels. The second link breaks down the standards and has links for other resources, including what parents need to know, myths vs facts, and FAQs.

There are many skills that students in the ELA classroom are expected to use and apply to their reading. Some of the most commonly used and practiced skills are listed in the drop-down menu. Please feel free to click on the skill to find some resources, videos or other links, to help you get reacquainted with these skills or to help your child practice these skills.
