Objective:

You will: 

• Create artwork that authentically represents your values, cultural identity and personal story

• Develop skills in visual storytelling and strategic preparation for cross-cultural communication

• Reflect on how your personal story and artistic expression can communicate values

Phase 4: Analysis of Partner’s Art

This lesson guides you in analyzing and interpreting artwork from your global partner classes to discover authentic cultural stories, develop empathy, and prepare for meaningful cross-cultural dialogue. Through structured analysis activities, you will move beyond surface-level observations to understand the personal narratives and cultural contexts expressed in their partners' art.

You will: 

• Analyze and interpret peer artwork from partner classes to identify authentic cultural stories, values, and lived experiences while recognizing both cultural uniqueness and universal human themes.

• Practice empathetic observation, strategic questioning, and respectful cross-cultural dialogue skills when engaging with partners' cultural narratives through art.

• Compare and contrast cultural expressions, challenge personal assumptions and stereotypes, and synthesize insights about cultural diversity and shared humanity.
