The State of Michigan allows students in grades 6-12 to enroll in up to two (2) online courses per semester in place of in-seat courses (during the regular school year). Northville Public Schools supports online learning and, as a District, we pride ourselves for the innovative use of technology to support learning. Currently, online classes are delivered by teachers from Michigan Virtual University and/or Edgenuity who possess a valid teaching certificate. We encourage parents and students to discuss if online learning is a good option and to understand the skills that help facilitate success in online learning. The following link from MVU provides various guides to help in the decision making process: Online Learning Guides.
Students interested in taking an online course must sign up during spring registration (for classes the following school year). Please visit the high school website, your student’s counselor, or Ms. Patterson for additional information.
