Individual Teacher Letters of Recommendation

Ask your teacher in the late spring of Junior year or as soon as you return to school for senior year in September if they college(s) you are applying to require a letter of recommendation from a teacher. Use the form to the left.

Counselor Letters of Recommendation

Hand in all the forms that your counselor needs to write your letter of recommendation by OCTOBER:

1 BLUE form (student autobiography)
1 PARENT BRAG SHEET (parent letter to your counselor)
ACTIVITIES RESUME

How to Access & Build Your Resume
Log in to your Naviance account.
Navigate to the "About Me" or "My Planner" section.
Click on "Resume" or a similar option.
Select "Add/Update Sections" or the "+" button to add new entries.
Choose a category (e.g., Work Experience, Volunteer Services, Awards, Extracurriculars).
Fill in the details: provide the name of the activity, your role, dates, location, and a description of your responsibilities and accomplishments.
Save your progress frequently by clicking the save or disk icon

How do I know how many letters of recommendation each college requires?

The Common Application posts an application requirements grid at the start of each admission cycle, which is often August 1st when it goes live. Search for the college you are interested then scan over to the "TE" for how many Teacher Evaluations/ Letters of Recommendation are required.
