Testing accommodations for both the SAT and the ACT exams require parents and students to complete additional accommodation requests. Although students may already receive testing modifications on local and/or state exams through their formalized Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 plans, these are not guaranteed by either SAT or ACT testing.
Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) is a unit of College Board dedicated to provided appropriate testing services and modification for qualified students.
ACT Testing Accommodations provides appropriate testing services and modification for qualified students.
For the PSAT/ SAT/ AP exams, complete the College Board Consent form, to the right of this page, and return this to your school counselor as soon as possible. You must apply for accommodation at least 2-3 months (more for AP Exams) in advance in order to allow time for review and a decision. Students should apply as early as 9th grade.
If approved, you will be assigned a SSD ID number that you will use when registering for the exams to apply the testing accommodation to your test administration.
For the ACT, you do not apply for testing accommodations until you register for your first exam. Please register early then notify your counselor to ensure that there is enough time to apply to have your request reviewed and a decision rendered before the exam.
