About The Coaches

About Coach Barnes:

Coach Lori Barnes is in her tenth season as the Northmont Middle School Cross Country coach, having previously coached in Cincinnati.  Coach Barnes is a 2000 graduate of Colerain High School in Cincinnati, OH.  While on the cross-country team, she ran for three state championship teams and was also part of a nationally ranked cross-country program at Colerain.  After high school, Coach Barnes attended Wright State University on an athletic scholarship to run cross-country and track and field.  After graduating, Coach Barnes taught at Princeton Community Middle School for nine years.  She is in her fifteenth year coaching and is committed to helping runners improve and extend their limits.  Coach Barnes will be entering her ninteenth year teaching this upcoming year and teaches 7th grade math at Northmont Middle School.  She lives in Clayton with her husband Joe (the Northmont HS Cross Country coach) and two daughters’ 16-year-old Abigail and 14-year-old Evelyn.


About Coach Gullette:

Coach Jessica Gullette is in her second year as the assistant coach for Northmont Middle School.  She is a 2012 graduate of Northmont High School. While at Northmont, Coach Gullette competed on the track and cross country teams as one of its top runners.  She was a state qualifier in the 1600 m run in track.  After high school, Coach Gullette attended Lee University on an athletic scholarship to run cross country and track.  Coach Gullette now lives in Englewood with her husband Adam (the assistant coach for Northmont HS cross country team) with their three sons, Kaysen, Kyler, and Xander.
