Please find to the right a powerpoint presentation introducing the safeguarding and SEND functions of the Trust, including Prevent.
The powerpoint is delivered by Jade Whyman, Director of Safeguarding for the Trust.
Below the powerpoint is the latest version of the Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) document, which is delivered to all staff at the start of each academic year.
Northern Education Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all its pupils. The purpose of each academy’s Safeguarding Policy is to ensure every child who is a registered pupil at the academy is safe and protected from harm, and that everyone knows what to do in the event of a safeguarding concern.
Each academy has a localised version of the Safeguarding Policy, showing details for local key safeguarding contacts, which can be found on the academy’s website. An example of our safeguarding policy can be seen above.
In addition to our Safeguarding policy we also have an Anti-bullying policy. This policy sets out Northern Education Trust’s ambition to eradicate all forms of bullying and reflect our commitment to being child-centred. We want to ensure that all pupils who attend Northern Education Trust academies are safe and protected at all times.
It is not a requirement of this induction for you to read the anti-bullying policy but if you would like to know more an example can be seen here
