North Cheshire Wind Orchestra conducted by Andrew Mallon perform Nicola Renshaw's A Star Danced (Y Seren Ddawns).
633 squadron
On Saturday 25th June 2011 the North Cheshire Wind Orchestra were invited to Studio 7 at BBC Manchester, Oxford Road to record Ron Goodwin's 633 Squadron as part of "Light Fantastic", a festival of British Light Music. The recording was subsequently broadcast on Radio 3 on Tuesday 28th June 2011.
By June 2011, most departments had already moved out of the Oxford Road building and relocated to Media City. The BBC Philharmonic had vacated Studio 7 and the whole building was demolished later in 2011. The North Cheshire Wind Orchestra were therefore one of the last groups to ever record in this famous studio.
