The Ticket Master Fiasco
As you know Ticketmaster sold all of the tickets to pre order. Here are the facts to hopefully answer all of your questions:
Who is suing ticketmaster?
Many people wonder what happened with TicketMaster and why fans are trying to sue them, and this is why.
How disappointed Taylor Swift fans explain Ticketmaster’s monopoly?, said “According to Ticketmaster, there were approximately 14 million users on the site at once during the presale push, and the company sold 2.4 million presale tickets. The fans that got through — via a system of presale codes and designated purchase times — ran into numerous malfunctions, some being told to wait hours to be able to spend hundreds of dollars on seats.”
This shows that 2.4 million fans paid for pre-sale but somehow over 14 million fans got the presale code, that’s a bit more than 6 times as many as there were supposed to be.
But the big question is “Who is suing TicketMaster?” A group of 26 fans of the singer-songwriter Taylor Swift filed a lawsuit on Friday accusing Ticketmaster's parent company of anticompetitive conduct and fraud several weeks after a chaotic, glitch-filled sale of tickets for Ms.
What Happened?
As you may know the ticket fiasco is confusing on who is to blame. The Washington Post said “Ticketmaster halted Friday’s public ticket sales of Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour after a chaotic rollout of presale tickets that left fans waiting for hours on the ticketing site, with many walking away frustrated and empty-handed.” So the ticketmaster was supposed to give a code to fans of Taylor Swift that didn’t get to see her concert in June, 2020. But instead of giving the code to fans who didn’t see the concert the ticketmaster gave the code to everyone. So as a result, Taylor is mad because her fans that didn’t get to see her perform still may not be able to. If you even think Taylor doesn’t care, you are completely wrong! Taylor is infuriated! On The Washington Post it says “It’s really difficult for me to trust an outside entity with these relationships and loyalties, and excruciating for me just to watch mistakes happen with no recourse,” she wrote, adding, ‘It’s truly amazing that 2.4 million people got tickets, but it really pisses me off that a lot of them feel like they went through several bear attacks to get them.’” Also on The Washington post it says “Taylor wishes she could invite all of her fans, because she truly loves all her fans.”.
Taylor’s Feelings
If you guys are mad about ticketmaster selling all of the tickets to pre order, I can assure you that Taylor Swift is ten times more mad than you:
Taylor Swift Really loves her fans. She even surprised one of them at their wedding. So it’s no surprise that she would feel upset about what happened. According to Frank Pallotta, It says, “‘It goes without saying that I’m extremely protective of my fans,’ Swift wrote on Instagram on Friday. ‘It’s really difficult for me to trust and outside entity with these relationships and loyalties, and excruciating for me to just watch mistakes happen with no recourse.’” As you can see Taylor really cares about her fans and hates to see this happen to them.
Adding on, according to Julian Mark he says, “Swift said she and her team ‘asked them, multiple times, if they could handle this kind of demand and we were assured they could.’” But they could not. I mean of course Taylor Swift is mad… who wouldn’t be? “‘It’s really difficult for me to trust an outside entity with these relationships and loyalties, and excruciating for me just to watch mistakes happen with no recourse,’” The article states her words. “It’s truly amazing that 2.4 million people got tickets, but it really pisses me off that a lot of them feel like they went through several bear attacks to get them.” As you can see Taylor Swift is really mad about this and wishes it didn’t happen.
How Do Fans Feel
