This digital publication is created during a new literacy exploratory called Publishing with Purpose. Every sixth grade student rotates through this six-week course. There will be three issues each school year. Each issue will highlight submissions from two terms. I am very proud of The Trojan Times journalists.
These hard-working eleven and twelve year olds have learned so much. As with any learning journey, there is always room for growth. This is our third and final issue for the 2020-2021 school year. Not only have we learned a lot about how to be journalists, but also we have learned to problem solve and work collaboratively with our story teams -- right up to the end of the school year when...you know, the mind is one inch (or two!) into summer break!
Please understand that you will encounter some tech issues as you enjoy this issue, but overall, I think their enthusiasm and messages shine through!
