This digital publication is created during a literacy exploratory called Journalism I (formerly Publishing with Purpose). It started in the fall of 2020. Every sixth grade student rotates through this six-week course. There will be three issues each school year. Each issue will highlight submissions from two terms. I am very proud of The Trojan Times journalists.
These hard-working eleven and twelve year olds have learned so much. As with any learning journey, there is always room for growth. This is our first issue for the 2022-2023 school year and our third year as a publication. Not only have we learned a lot about how to be journalists, but also we have learned to problem solve and work collaboratively with our story teams.
Please understand that you will encounter some tech issues as you enjoy this issue, but overall, I think their enthusiasm and messages shine through!
Ms. Julie Buzza, NBCT
