Arwen (Winry) is a lovely and talented mezzo soprano who is dedicated and hard working. She spends many hours in the practice room refining what we have worked on in lessons and voice classes. Winry works diligently on her vocal technique and accepts criticism readily; she is able to understand and fix things quickly. She is a thoughtful singer and an excellent actress, whose performances are quite riveting. She can be relied upon to be a vocal leader in duets, trios and ensembles, and to help the younger, less experienced singers with their music and their technique. Winry is receptive and loves learning. She is a responsible, poised and mature young woman who is a delight to have in class. She has sung leading roles at NOCCA and she was extremely moving in the role of Aeneas in NOCCA’s production of Dido and Aeneas last January.

Winry is a lovely and personable young woman who is not the type to let competition derail her, but instead will rise to all of the challenges presented to her and allow them to take her to the next level. She is a dedicated young woman who is reliable and dependable, a great positive influence on the younger students, and she is easy to get along with. Winry truly represents what NOCCA is all about. She is a wonderfully talented young singer who has come very far and is destined for great things in the future.
