At Nobel, we believe that learning truly comes to life when you can express it, reflect on it, and share it with others. That’s why we place a special emphasis on two key capstone projects during your internship: the Public Speaking Capstone and the LinkedIn Capstone.
Public speaking is one of the most important soft skills you can develop — not just for presentations, but for interviews, teamwork, and leadership in any field. At Nobel, we believe the best place to begin building this skill is right where you are, among the people who know you and can offer honest feedback.
The Public Speaking Capstone gives you the opportunity to speak to a real audience in your local community and then reflect on and share that experience with your fellow interns during the Capstone Expo.
You and your team will prepare and deliver a short presentation titled “What I Learned at Nobel” to an audience of at least five people. This can be done at your school, with a local youth group, at home with friends and family, or at any small gathering. The goal is to practice communicating your experience with clarity and confidence.
If you’re unsure how to organize this session or need help preparing, your Nobel Guide and the global promo team are available to support you with resources, planning tips, and even training sessions. You don’t have to do it alone.
After your public speaking session, your team will work together to create a short slide presentation for the Capstone Expo. This presentation should showcase what you did during your community talk — how you organized it, what the experience was like, and what you learned. Use visuals such as photos from the session, screenshots, or simple graphics to bring your story to life.
Keep in mind:
The presentation should be under 7 minutes in total.
Use more visuals than text — show rather than tell.
Every team member must participate and speak during the presentation.
This step encourages collaboration, visual storytelling, and creative communication.
During the Capstone Expo, your team will present to other interns and the wider Nobel community. This is a celebration of your learning and your effort. Each team member can briefly share their personal perspective: how they felt giving the presentation, what challenges they faced, and how the experience helped them grow.
The LinkedIn Capstone is your introduction to professional storytelling and online presence. It’s designed to help you reflect on your internship journey and share it with a broader audience. Whether you’re new to LinkedIn or have already started building your profile, this activity is meant to give you the confidence and motivation to begin engaging with the platform meaningfully.
Your goal is to create a post on LinkedIn that highlights your internship experience and shares your Capstone journey with your growing network.
During your Public Speaking presentation, take a screenshot or photo of a moment that represents your experience — it could be your team presenting, your slides, or a behind-the-scenes look at your preparation. If you also have photos from your Capstone expo presentation, those are great to include as well.
Using the screenshot or photo, write a LinkedIn post that tells your story in an authentic and thoughtful way. This should be more than a single paragraph — take the time to reflect on what you’ve learned, how you’ve grown, and what this internship has meant to you. Write in your own voice and focus on your personal journey.
Make sure to:
Include at least one image (screenshot or photo from your presentation or public speaking session).
Write in multiple paragraphs for a fuller story.
Mention @Nobel Learning PBC in your post so we can see and celebrate your work.
If you’re unsure what to say or need help polishing your post, your mentor or the promo team can review a draft and give feedback before you post it.
The Public Speaking Capstone helps you become more confident in expressing yourself and sharing your learning in front of others. It’s about developing the courage and clarity to speak up, starting with people you already know and trust.
The LinkedIn Capstone gives you a meaningful reason to start building your professional network. By sharing your story publicly, you not only highlight your experience, you begin a journey of showing the world who you are and what you’re capable of.
Together, these capstones strengthen your communication skills, boost your confidence, and give you the chance to be recognized for everything you’ve worked on. Most of all, they are opportunities to reflect, to connect, and to grow.
Your story matters. Let’s help you share it.
