The film “Selma” was sad, heartfelt, and joyful. The film was great, and I do recommend it. It shows how Martin Luther King Jr was trying to get the right to vote for colored people with marches and speeches. During the marches, Dr. King wanted no violence, just the right to vote, but the president and the white people didn't want that. The president made sure they didn't. Some marches were sad, they got hit, beaten and shot, but they still fought hard to have the rights to vote. In the end, the colored people got the right to vote. In some scenes they were having a blast and smiling, but in others Dr. King was serious and passionate about achieving his dream.
