Kids Eat Smart Program (KES)

Did you know?

Our Kids Eat Smart Breakfast Club will start on October 2 for this school year. It is located in Kids Eat Smart Cafeteria every morning at 8:35am. There is no charge and all students are welcome to attend! Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, we encourage everyone to participate. Parents, grandparents, caregivers and community members are welcome to volunteer for our Breakfast Club. You may financially support our Breakfast Club by donating breakfast items, drop off at school, or make a donation at and designate your gift to our school. Please contact Mrs. Burton, 535-2115, for more information and to get involved.

Kids Eat Smart Foundation Newfoundland and Labrador is a registered charity that supports the education, health, and well-being of school age children in Newfoundland and Labrador through nutrition programs run by volunteers at schools and community centres.

We support Kids Eat Smart Clubs in schools and community centres province wide. While we do fund some snack and lunch programs, the majority of our programs are breakfast. KES Clubs are universally run programs so that every child is welcome and there is no charge to families. Currently there are 240 Kids Eat Smart Clubs operating with the assistance of 6,000 volunteers who serve over 22,000 meals every school day!

Our goal is to provide children with the nutrition they need to learn, to grow, and to be their very best!

If you wish to become a volunteer for the Lewisporte Academy KES breakfast program, please drop by to pick up the volunteer forms to complete or call to request that they be placed in your child's bookbag. We'd be happy to have you!!
