According to NJ's Strengthening Gifted and Talented Education Act, a "gifted and talented student" is defined as an individual "who possesses or demonstrates a high level of ability in one or more content areas when compared to his/her chronological peers in the school district and who requires modifications of his/her educational program if he/she is to achieve in accordance with his/her capabilities."
Ringwood's Gifted and Talented program meets all requirements and recommendations from the Strengthening Gifted and Talented Education Act, National Association for Gifted Children, and New Jersey Association for Gifted Children.
