2026-2027 Reflections Workshop: How to Get Started
Thursday, September 3rd @ 10am
Tuesday, September 15th @ 7pm
Feel free to send questions to reflections@njpta.org.
Let National PTA know you are participating to show them the wide reach and impact of Reflections.
Note: National PTA does not directly accept student submissions.
Forms are due by 10/31/26.
You will be sent instructions and reminders.
This document provides step by step instructions on how to successfully run your program at the local and county levels.
It's important that everyone is aware of deadlines during the process, especially since there will be several rounds of judging (from Local to County, from County to State, from State to National).
Here is a sample flyer you can share with your students. If you'd like to have an editable copy to insert your PTA logo and information, please reach out to Shazia Ansari at reflections@njpta.org.
This is a very important resource to understand what is and what is not accepted. Scroll down to each category to learn more about it and see the tips given to students!

Tips for students.
Students may fill in the PDF electronically or print it out and fill it in by hand. If your local PTA is using a digital form, make sure students have access to it.
Students need to submit the entry form with their artwork to you.
All required fields must be completed for the category and division entered.
National PTA has provided an official template for the Student Entry Form in Google Forms in both English and Spanish. PTAs may create a copy of the form and customize it for use based on the requirements and guidelines outlined by NJ PTA.
If your PTA uses Google Drive and would like a version with the option for students/parents to upload their entries, please reach out to Shazia Ansari at reflections@njpta.org to request a copy.
Each local PTA should submit the top 3 entries for each category and division to their county or council for another round of judging.
NJPTA will then accept the 3 top entries for each category and division from each county or council. Since there are 5 divisions and six categories, that means we can accept up to 90 entries from each county at the State Level for judging.
We highly encourage as many students to participate as possible. We look forward to seeing the creativity of students from around the state!
