Heat Transfer Lab (UG)
Heat Transfer Lab (UG)
Heat transfer is a phenomenon which takes place by virtue of temperature difference. Three different modes of heat transfer such as, Conduction, Convection and Radiation by which heat transfer occurs. Apparatus is available in the laboratory to conduct experiments and to understand these phenomena in comprehensive manner. Condensation is one more fascinating phenomenon occurs in nature where heat transfer is involved.
The various apparatus available in Heat Transfer Laboratory and their specifications can be found here.
Combined Convection and Radiation Apparatus
To investigate convective and radiative heat transfer from a cylinder in cross flow at high temperatures.
Dropwise and Film wise Condensation Unit
To observe the two modes of condensation and to compare their convective heat transfer coefficients.
Unsteady State Heat Transfer Apparatus
To study the transient thermal response of different solid shapes when immersed in a hot-water bath.
