Dr. Lillykutty Jacob

Lillykutty Jacob received B.Sc. (Engg.) from College of Engineering Trivandrum; M.Tech. from IIT Madras; and Ph.D. from IISc Bangalore. She was with Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), South Korea, as Postdoctoral Fellow; with National University of Singapore (NUS), as Visiting Faculty; and with University of South Florida (USF), as an Exchange Visitor. She has been with NIT Calicut since 1985, and served in different roles including Head of the department of ECE and Dean Faculty Welfare. During the past 36 years, apart from being teacher & mentor for BTech & MTech students, she has guided 27 MS / PhD research scholars. She is a highly cited Researcher with more than 175 publications in international journals and conferences. She serves as Editorial Board Member, Reviewer, and Technical Program Committee Member for a number of IEEE and ACM journals and conferences. She has received research grant from DRDO, DST, MHRD, and NSTB Singapore. She is recipient of several awards that include best student award from IIT Madras, best performing faculty of NIT Calicut, Distinguished Engineering Teacher of Kerala, and Best Teacher award of IEEE Kerala. She serves as an expert team member for NAAC, NBA, and Margdarshak scheme of GoI; and as PhD examiner for NITs, IITs and IISc. She is a Life Member of ISTE, Fellow of IETE, Fellow of IEI, and Senior Member of IEEE.
