Student Resources for Reading 6

Starting in October, we will be utilizing Flocabulary to explore vocabulary and incorporate it into our daily reading, writing, listening and speaking! Flocabulary is an online library of educational hip-hop songs and videos for grades K-12. We will utilize these resources to incorporate explicit vocabulary instruction into our work in Reading 6 - it is exciting and engaging way to learn new words!

A great site to practice and review vocabulary for your classes is Quizlet where you can utilize on-line flashcards and other resources. Join Quizlet to start utilizing vocabulary sets that your teachers have already created with terms/definitions uploaded for you to use. Know that all of my sets have public access so you don't need an account. I will post a link to the on-line flashcards that you may need for class in your Reading Google Classroom.

However, I find it useful for students to create their own Quizlet account and ask to join my classroom. This allows for better monitoring of progress for students. For more information on this, please see our Team Oneida website tab titled, "Quizlet".
