Camp Invention is one week in the summer where your child’s creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills are challenged and developed in fun and exciting ways. Our top priority is to inspire future innovators and build their confidence in the natural ability to dream and create.

Camp Pursuit is an engaging, academic day camp comprised of mixed-age, high-interest courses, topics, and projects for students entering grades 1-8, taught by NuMinds trained educators. Students engage in intriguing and exciting STEAM topics to follow their passions.

Creative Problem Solving (DI Camp)
Whether you’ve done DI before or not, if you like using your imagination, then this is the camp for you. We’ll write stories, create costumes and props, learn some acting skills and present our hard work to our peers.
June 16-19 at Granger Elementary
TechnoCamp is a dynamic, hands-on technology camp designed to spark creativity and innovation in students through engaging, real-world challenges. Participants can sign up to explore coding, drones, robotics, digital design, and more. Offerings include: Lego Spike, Vex Go, Drones, STEAM, Real Robotics, Minecraft EDU, Quest, or Starforce.

At Junior chef Academy, led by Aramark, students will learn to prepare an entree and snack each day as they gain hands-on experience and confidence in the kitchen.

Summer Opportunities Outside of NISD
Th!nk GT Camp provides summer enrichment opportunties for K-9th grade gifted students. Dr. Mary Christopher, DGL Consulting, directs the program with his taught by experienced teachers who hold a masters degree in gifted education.
College for Kids is a 3-week summer enrichment program in which children can enroll in academic, arts and crafts, science and technology, and health and fitness classes. Courses are taught by experienced and motivated faculty who encourage and challenge students in an atmosphere that supports inquiry and exploration.
UTA offers a variety of camps mostly in the engineering field, but also in music and athletics.
Texas Woman's University is hosting several camps on the university's Denton campus. Camps range from fashion and nutrition, to science and sports, and cater to ages preschool through college.
Summer chess camps engage children in intellectual pursuit while building social skills. Many campers return year after year to build their skills and see friends.
Fort Worth Museum of Science
Museum School offers informal, discovery-based science and history classes that are enriched with museum specimens or artifacts, creative activities, science investigations and other hands-on explorations.
Summer Art Camps at the Dallas Museum of Art have something for every creative kid. Spark your imagination with mixed media, fashion, drawing, painting, design, an more in camps for children ages 4-12. Each week culminates in an art exhibition or performance for friends and family.
Dallas Zoo and Children's Aquarium at Fair Park
The Dallas Zoo and The Children's Aquarium at Fair Park offer exciting interactive programs for children. Programs are designed to engage both mind and body in hands-on, original activities.
The Fort Worth Zoo's popular summer camp includes 10 weeks of exciting themed adventures for children ages 3 to fifth grade. Camps feature wild activities, animal visitors, and zoo excursions.
