Students created their own winter-themed pixel designs then used digital formatting in Google Sheets to add color to their art. Students then enlarged their work by using sticky notes to recreate their images on the library windows. Some of our early finishers also utilized the concept of pixelation to create their own 3-D Perler bead animals.
Students explored the concept of tessellations and the artistic work of M.C. Escher to create their own tessellation designs, applying geometric priniples and creative techniques.
The Pathetic Yelling Battle
Students explored the concepts of bilateral and radial symmetry as they created a work of mathematical art using their name and origami folds.
Personal Learning Metaphors
Students went on a photo session around the school capturing images of everyday objects we see at OAP. They then turned these images into visual metaphors to describe themselves as thinkers and learners.
Students used creative and colorful vocabulary to express the character traits that they feel best describe them. They then used these words to create a visual image of themselves.
