To request that NISD Technology transfer the entire contents of your Google Drive (which should only contain your *Keep folder if you followed the previous steps) to another NISD account, please submit a HelpDesk Ticket at Helpdesk.nisdtx.org.
Before requesting a transfer, make sure you have copied or backed-up all files you wish to keep, and delete documents you should not or do not want shared (i.e. personal info or student data).
Submit a Helpdesk ticket to transfer entire Drive contents from your NISD account to another NISD account. Create a ticket → Data Request → Google Drive Transfers.
When prompted to enter “the date you want the transfer to occur,” you can enter a future date (ex. Last day of your contract)
NOTE: Be sure that this person is the final owner of this information as future Drive transfers move entire Drive contents rather than just certain Drive folders.
You will need to repeat the below steps for each folder within your *Keep folder
Right click on the folder → Share
Type in the email of the NISD staff member to share the file with editing rights → Send
Right click on the folder→ Share
Click on the editor dropdown next to the individual’s name to transfer ownership of the file → Done
Open the folder that you just transferred ownership to. Locate the files within the folder.
Select all the files in the folder by clicking the check box near the file name. Right Click → Share → Click on the editor dropdown next to the individuals name to transfer ownership → Done
Confirm ownership of the folders and files has been transferred
Before proceeding: Make sure nothing is in violation of student data privacy or copyright law. These files should not be transferred to a personal account. If you have folders within this folder, you will need to repeat the following steps for each folder that contains files you are wanting personal ownership of.
Right click on your *Keep folder and share
Share this folder with a personal Google Drive account.
Click the “Share anyway” button.
After sharing, open an “Incognito” browser window in Google Chrome.
In the incognito browser window, log into your personal Google account. Using an incognito browser ensures you will not need to log out of your district account to access your personal drive and vice versa.
Open the *Keep folder. If you have folders within this folder you will need to repeat the following steps for each folder that contains files you are wanting personal ownership of.
Open a folder that contains files
