Actively involved with the ongoing commissioning associated with new construction.
Develop procedures necessary to collect and analyze service requests.
Communicate building needs with various departments, subcontractors, and school personnel to maintain a carefully constructed learning environment.
Engage in Owner, Architect, and Construction Manager (OACM) meetings, with VLK architects and Northstar Builders to continuously advocate for the needs of the campus.
Assist in the assessment, selection, distribution, and warranty of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) associated with a ~$177,000,000 bond project.
Social & Emotional
Assist Children’s Advocacy Center of North Texas to deliver Trauma-Informed Care Training to faculty and staff.
Implement self-reflective protocol for all students, when removed from regular classroom environment.
Implement Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) strategies.
Guide faculty, staff, and students in achieving self-actuation. Supporting the 2022 Community In Schools (CIS) student of the year, DISD Teacher of the year 2021 and 2022, along with Region 11 Teacher of the Year award winner (2021).
Section 504 Coordinator
Train classroom teachers on the legal responsibilities associated with Section 504: accessing student individualized plans, implementation of classroom and testing accommodations, and documentation.
Collect and analyze a variety of data inputs to establish student's individualized plan.
Track student success, completing re-evaluation(s), in compliance with district protocol.
Audit PIEMS coding to ensure that students are correctly identified, coded, and reported.
Special Programs
Partner with Texas IB Schools (TIBS) consultant to create and deliver introductory training for subject teachers within IB Design and MYP courses.
Assist in advanced training for Dual Programme (DP) Core subject matters. Overview of core elements that aim to broaden students educational experience and challenge them to apply their knowledge and skills.
Network with local universities (UNT, TWU, and NCTC) – reducing barriers and broadening dual credit opportunities.
Identify and refer students for special programs (CIS, Talent Search, Trio, Summer Programs, etc.) – layering supports to enrich the educational experience.
Special Populations
Serve students within Section 504, English Learners, Highly Mobile, At-Risk, and Dyslexia
Facilitate ARD meetings for students served through special education. Establish IEPs for students with varying, qualifying conditions, and coordinate with campus and district personnel to ensure proper allotment of resources.
Provide for the students, faculty, and staff throughout multiple programs and services at Denton High School (AVLS, FLS, PABS, DE, VI, homebound, transition, etc.)
Support the diverse needs of at-risk students enrolled at Denton High School (Cumberland, State School, McKinney Vento, etc).
Mitigate learning loss associated with COVID-19 by investing ESSER funds into services with maximum return on investment and progress monitoring for HB4545
Schedule Home Visit for students exhibiting chronic absenteeism.

Train teachers in proper testing protocol for various communal assessments (STAAR, ASVAB, TSI, SAT, ACT, TELPAS, AP, Dual-Credit, IB, etc.)
Ensure secure testing environment that is highly conducive for student success – remaining in alignment with state, national, and international (IB) testing standards.
Upload testing accommodations for students who have been identified.
Resource Alignment
Coordinate the distribution of Chromebooks and wireless hotspots.
Collect, inventory, and distribute textbooks to students, teachers, and classrooms.
Effectively allocate local, state, and federal funds, so-as to maximize learning outcomes.
Minimize instructional loss while enhancing planning and collaborative opportunities.
College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR)
Expand career exploration opportunities by providing various post-secondary trainings and career exploration experiences for students.
Educate guardians, students, faculty, and staff about programs of study that align with student individual career interest.
Increase levels of students obtaining Industry-Based Certifications (IBC).
Track and report CCMR data necessary for A-F Accountability.
