Grants have provided campus wide leadership development curriculum, enchroma glasses for students who are visually impaired, and a multi-sensory stimulation room specifically targeted for special education students.
This grant allows teachers and students to engage in a meaningful, hands-on learning. Aimed to replicate a sustainable agriculture model by combining of aquaculture (raising fish) and hydroponics (the soil-less growing of plants) that grows fish and plants together in one integrated system. The fish waste provides an organic food source for the plants, and the plants naturally filter the water for the fish.
Increased cross-curricular learning, where the aim is to partner with the culinary department to provide a constant supply of farm raised fish, vegetables, and herbs.
