We have to admit our first P.A.W. Day was a blast (for most)! Thank you Kandle for coordinating and planning every single detail- it truly was an overall successful day. Your feedback is appreciated and may be submitted to Kandle when she sends out a request later this week. I received several texts and emails about P.A.W. Day last week and this one I thought was noteworthy for sure:
Dr. Raven,
I would like to let you know that Adams has impressed me so much this year. My oldest went to Adams when the school opened, and now I have a 6th grader there. Whoever thought of PAW Day has hit the nail in the head. My son was very much in a rush mode to finish his school work this week so that he could attend PAW day. This allowed us to have a great conversation about how he can make sure that he doesn't feel rushed or stressed for next quarter, and now we have a plan going forward to make sure he gets his work done daily.
My son has ADHD, and so this was the little fire he needed to make sure he completes his work.
Seeing all the things that they are able to do today, I am in full support of this, and hope you let us parents know how we can help as I am sure this has been a BIG undertaking. I did have a conversation with my son that he needed to be on his best behavior so that he can also participate next time around. I'm sure you all have your hands full with all the goings on today.
Again, thank you so much for all you and the staff do to help the students, and I hope you all get a much deserved great weekend. Please pass my thanks to everyone. It's been a rough two years for you, and I would like to make sure you know you have parents in your corner.
Thank you!
Nadia Messina
I'm very grateful for our parents /families involvement and interest in what is going on at school. We don't always hear or receive communication about good things. This affirmed the effort of our entire school community, a reminder and encouraging word to keep going. We work hard and play harder! We are in the game -and here's to a great 2nd Quarter! Roar on.
