March 7
We are here. It's the week before Spring break and you have done it! Let's make this week fun, engaging and close out the quarter knowing we have done some miraculous things to get here. As you know, the kids can be antsy, anxious and excited for this upcoming break. Let's be on our Ps and Qs with monitoring and supervision, ensuring we all get to the finish line- successfully. A few housekeeping reminders with the anticipated energy of the week:
*Greet your students at the door during each passing period and monitor your immediate area of the hallway, constantly encouraging students to move to their classroom!
*During every passing period, all hands on deck with standing at our doors or pouring into the hallways for monitoring! Everyone - out of classrooms and offices during passing periods! All eyes on deck!!
*Make sure all duty stations are covered and you are on post as soon as possible.
*Please intervene, correct, and/or redirect any minor misbehavior in your presence! Teachable moments can build instant connection- it doesn't have to turn into a power struggle. Our students often may need redirection of desired behavior! See something, say something.
Let's enjoy each day and please be intentional in your plans to engage students with meaningful, enjoyable learning experiences! Have a wonderful week and a blissful Spring Break 2022!!

As we begin to plan and work on next year's master schedule, please fill out the planning and preferences form for next school year! Spring time is all about planning for next year. We have had our annual campus staffing meeting with HR where we review projections on enrollment, plus we have reviewed our anticipated campus budget and will fine tune budgeting items for all programs and departments. Counselors are meeting with students and families to begin the process of entering course requests -and the master schedule soon gets rolling and taking shape for next year. Please provide input here as part of the important process of planning. There are no promises are guarantees, but knowing your plans and preferences gives great insight into the overall planning process for the campus.
If you did not sign up, please see the location sheet of where you will be located and what station you have for the afternoon. If you have already put kids names on the no go list and they get assignments done before the cutoff, please take them off the list. Our goal is to get their work in so they can participate in the day. Please tell students they MUST sign up for sessions. Students who do NOT have a sign up, will have to sign up before they can enter a session or be placed with a hall monitor for the day sitting and doing worksheets. Please make the expectation clear to sign up on Wednesday during advisory. After sign up is done, spreadsheet links will be sent out for each grade level and teachers can check their advisory classes to make sure everyone has signed up.
Students with Character Strong Stickers will come to the cafeteria during advisory on Tuesday to sign up early. Please do not tell them early or give them the link. Thanks!
