While attending Texas Tech University, I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies for Math and Science grades 4-8. Because of AP and IB credit in addition to completion of Dual Credit in high school, I entered college with 36 hours and was classified as a sophomore. This enabled me to complete a four year program in only three years’ worth of time due to mindful planning and preparation. With the exception of one class, I earned straight A's and finished with a 3.894 GPA.
Through my passion of learning and self-improvement, I wanted to pursue higher education in order to expand my expertise and push myself academically and professionally. While I didn't have a specific job in mind while pursuing my Master's degree, I have always been a proponent being qualified for an opportunity that doesn't yet exist rather than having an opportunity present itself and not yet being qualified. I earned a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University and have obtained my Principal Certification. I was able to continue my pursuit of high achievement in finishing with a 4.0 GPA.
While Campus Administration is a possibility with my degree/certification, I chose this route in order open the door of opportunity for advancement with the field of Education. I am passionate about Northwest ISD and know that my skills positively contribute to the district's initiatives as I strive for continuous improvement each and every day.
