The tardy bell rings at 7:40 am. and staff close the doors to start class. Students need to arrive BEFORE 7:40 am. If a back car rider arrives after the doors are closed, please drive your child to the front entrance of the school and walk them up to the doors to ring the bell so that he/she can come through the office for a Tardy Pass. Thank you!

Cox Elementary's Exemplar Educator and Employee of the Year for 2023-24

Employee of the Year                  Exemplar Educator

     Amy McCollum                                 Carole Eney

Character trait for this month is creativity.

Mark your calendars! Registration for the 2023-2024 school year opens on Monday, April 15.

Enrollment is an annual requirement and doesn't roll over from the previous school year, but for returning families, the process is an easy three-step completion. The process is handled through Home Access Center via a guardian’s account, which results in previous registration information being completed.

Enrolling your child as early as possible is one way you can help your campus and the district prepare for next school year. Please visit www.nisdtx.org/enroll to learn more!

Pre-K Enrollment

The following classes are in the lead for the most students enrolled for the 2024-25 school year:

Yearbooks

Due to a production error from the yearbook company, we received extra yearbooks.  If you did not order a yearbook and would like to take advantage of this opportunity, you can log into your School Cash account to purchase your copy.   Yearbooks can only be purchased online using this link: https://schoolcashonline.com/

All yearbooks will be distributed the last week of school.

Parents, it's time to buy your 1st Day School Supplies. I know it seems early, but before you know it, summer will be here. It's important you order your supplies before it's too late or supplies run out. Start the school year with the exact supplies your teacher requested, and give your child the confidence they need to conquer next year! Get them today before it's too late!

Do you enjoy being creative, making new friends, and working with a team?  Then this is the camp for you!

Visitors at Lunch

We have limited space and the tables are set up outside the cafeteria in the hallway designated for lunch visitors.  Only you and your child will be able eat at the parent/student tables.  No friends allowed.  Lunch guests will need to bring their own lunch.

All visitors will need to check in with the office using their valid driver's license or government issued ID.

When your child's lunch time is over, visitors will need to come directly to the office and check out.   For safety and security reasons, parents cannot follow students to their classroom or the playground.

In order for all parents to have the opportunity to eat lunch with their child, we ask that you limit your lunch visits to 2 times per student per grading period.

There will be some dates that our campus will be closed for lunch visitors due to events or changes in schedules.  These will be communicated through Parent Square and your child's teacher.
